Job Title: Math Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire branch are recruiting Mathematics Teacher to join excellent schools in Barnsley. The ideal candidate will be an engaging and knowledgeable educator who can deliver high-quality lessons, inspire curiosity, and help students achieve their full academic potential.
This position will give the Math Teacher an excellent opportunity to equip students with the mathematical knowledge and analytical skills needed for success in further education and everyday life.
Maths Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Differentiate teaching to support students with a range of learning abilities
- Encourage logical reasoning, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes participation and high expectations
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum planning and student attainment
Math Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Previous experience teaching Mathematics
- Strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum and effective teaching strategies
- Ability to motivate students through engaging and well-structured lessons
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
