Job Title: KS3 English Teacher
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Pay: £750–£1,100 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Newcastle branch are looking to appoint Key Stage 3 English Teacher for vibrant schools in Newcastle upon Tyne. We are seeking an innovative and dedicated educator who can help students strengthen their reading, writing, and analytical skills while fostering a genuine appreciation for English language and literature.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to support students as they develop the literacy skills, critical thinking, and confidence needed for future academic success.

KS3 English Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the Key Stage 3 curriculum
  • Develop students' reading, writing, grammar, speaking, and analytical skills
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities
  • Assess progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic achievement
  • Create an inclusive classroom that encourages creativity, discussion, and independent thinking
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support student development

KS3 English Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Previous experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and effective teaching strategies
  • Ability to motivate students through engaging and well-structured lessons
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
