Job Title: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Barnsley
Pay: £460–£600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire branch are recruiting Early Years Practitioner for welcoming educational institutes in Barnsley. We are seeking caring and enthusiastic professionals who can create engaging learning experiences, encourage children's development, and provide a safe and nurturing environment where every child can flourish.
The EYP role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children's early learning while helping them develop confidence, curiosity, and essential life skills through play-based education.
Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging activities that promote learning through play and exploration
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Create a welcoming, safe, and stimulating environment for all children
- Observe children's progress and contribute to learning records and assessments
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues to support each child's development
- Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain high standards of early years practice
Early Years Practitioner Requirements:
- Previous experience working within an Early Years setting is desirable
- Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Ability to create engaging activities that support children's development
- Caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
