Job Title: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Durham
Pay: £475–£557 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Newcastle branch are looking to appoint Early Years Practitioner (EYP) for welcoming school in Durham. We would like to hear from a caring and motivated professional who are passionate about supporting children's early development through engaging, play-based learning experiences.

The EYP will have a rewarding opportunity to help children build confidence, develop essential life skills, and achieve important early learning milestones.

Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of engaging activities that encourage learning through play
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children
  • Promote children's social, emotional, and physical development through daily interactions
  • Observe progress and contribute to learning records and developmental assessments
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support each child's individual needs
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, wellbeing, and early years practice

Early Years Practitioner Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting is desirable
  • Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Ability to build warm and positive relationships with young children
  • Patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach to supporting early development
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
