Job Title: Drama Teacher

Pay: £150–£200 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire branch are giving an opportunity for Drama Teachers to join schools in Wakefield WF4. We are looking for an imaginative and enthusiastic educator who can nurture students' confidence, develop their performance skills, and create an inclusive environment where creativity can flourish.
This position allows you to encourage students to explore drama, performance, and storytelling while building confidence, communication, and teamwork through practical learning experiences.
Responsibilities of Drama Teacher:
- Deliver engaging Drama lessons that encourage creativity and active participation
- Plan practical activities that develop performance, communication, and presentation skills
- Support students in building confidence through individual and group performances
- Assess progress and provide constructive feedback to help students reach their potential
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom where every learner feels encouraged to contribute
- Collaborate with colleagues to support productions, performances, and wider school activities
Requirements for Drama Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Previous experience teaching Drama within a secondary school is desirable
- Strong knowledge of drama techniques and creative teaching approaches
- Ability to motivate students through practical and engaging lessons
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
