Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Morpeth NE61
Pay: £105–£125 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Newcastle branch are recruiting Sports Coaches to work with SEN learners in schools across Morpeth (NE61). The successful candidate will bring energy, patience, and a positive attitude to help pupils develop confidence, social skills, and active participation through structured physical activities.
This role offers the opportunity to combine sports coaching with meaningful educational support, helping pupils achieve personal, physical, and emotional milestones.
Sports Coach Responsibilities:
- Deliver inclusive sports and physical activities tailored to the needs of SEN learners
- Encourage teamwork, communication, and confidence through structured coaching sessions
- Adapt activities to suit individual abilities while promoting participation and enjoyment
- Work alongside teachers and support staff to reinforce positive behaviour and engagement
- Motivate pupils to achieve personal goals both inside and outside the classroom
- Contribute to a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Sports Coach Requirements:
- Experience coaching or supporting children with Special Educational Needs is desirable
- Ability to adapt sporting activities for pupils with a range of additional needs
- Confident building positive relationships that encourage trust and participation
- Enthusiastic, resilient, and able to remain calm in challenging situations
- Passion for promoting physical wellbeing, inclusion, and personal development
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
