Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Newcastle
Pay: £110–£125 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time

GSL Education are looking to recruit a Sports Coach to work within vibrant secondary schools in Newcastle. We are seeking an energetic and adaptable individual who can combine sports coaching with classroom support, helping students develop confidence, resilience, and positive attitudes towards learning.
This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who is passionate about promoting both educational and personal development.
Sports Coach Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging sports sessions that encourage teamwork, participation, and physical wellbeing
- Provide classroom support to help students remain focused and engaged with learning
- Adapt coaching and classroom activities to meet individual learning and behavioural needs
- Encourage positive behaviour through consistent guidance and constructive reinforcement
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to deliver effective pupil support
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and encouraging school environment
Sports Coach Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is an essential part of this role
- Background in sports coaching, physical education, or youth work is highly desirable
- Experience working with secondary-aged learners would be an advantage
- Confident supporting both practical activities and classroom learning
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and build positive relationships
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
