Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Newcastle
Pay: £110–£125 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time

GSL Education are recruiting a Sports Coach to work across Primary and SEN Schools in Newcastle. We are seeking an enthusiastic and resilient coach who can inspire pupils through physical activity while promoting confidence, teamwork, and positive behaviour in a supportive educational environment.
The Sports Coach has the opportunity to use your coaching skills to support children's physical, social, and emotional development, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging sports and physical activities suited to pupils' individual abilities
- Encourage participation, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles through structured sessions
- Support pupils with SEN both inside and outside the classroom when required
- Promote positive behaviour using consistent and encouraging strategies
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to meet pupils' individual needs
- Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable learning environment
Sports Coach Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential
- Background in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field is desirable
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils through encouragement and consistency
- Confident managing behaviour and adapting activities for different abilities
- Energetic, reliable, and committed to helping young people succeed
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
