Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools (Grantham)
Location: Grantham
Salary: £100 – £130 per day
Start Date: ASAP / September 2026
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time | Day-to-day / Long-term
GSL Education is seeking confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Grantham. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, particularly those considering a future career in teaching or education.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and focused while maintaining a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-set lessons across a variety of subjects
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensure students remain on task and complete the work provided
- Build positive relationships with students and staff
- Adapt confidently to different schools and year groups
- Follow all safeguarding and behaviour procedures
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with young people in a school, coaching, tutoring, or youth work setting
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Confidence leading a classroom independently
- A flexible, reliable, and professional approach
- A genuine interest in education
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
