Job Title: Children's Sports Coach

GSL Education Lincoln are seeking an enthusiastic and resilient Children's Sports Coach to work within a supportive secondary school in Scunthorpe. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sports coach looking to transfer their skills into an educational setting, supporting students both in PE lessons and across the wider school environment.
The successful candidate will have experience coaching boys aged 11–16 across a variety of sports, including football, rugby, hockey and other team games. You will be confident building positive relationships with students, promoting participation and supporting pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviours.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging sports coaching sessions for students aged 11–16
- Support PE lessons and extracurricular sporting activities
- Encourage teamwork, resilience and positive behaviour through sport
- Build strong relationships with students, acting as a positive role model
- Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and those displaying challenging behaviours
- Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff to create a positive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience coaching children or young people aged 11–16
- Be confident delivering a range of sports, including football, rugby and hockey
- Be available to work full-time, Monday to Friday
- Have experience supporting young people with SEN and/or challenging behaviours
- Be patient, resilient and passionate about making a positive difference
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education
