Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are partnering with active schools in Sheffield to appoint a Physical Education Teacher. We are seeking an energetic educator who can deliver practical lessons, encourage participation, and help students develop a positive attitude towards health and wellbeing.
The PE Teacher role supports students in building physical confidence, resilience, and teamwork through structured sport and fitness activities.
Physical Education Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver Physical Education lessons that develop fitness, coordination, and sporting skills
- Encourage students to take part in individual and team-based activities
- Promote safe practice, fair play, and respect during practical sessions
- Support students in improving confidence, discipline, and personal performance
- Assess progress and provide useful feedback to encourage improvement
- Contribute to wider physical activity, enrichment, and wellbeing initiatives
Physical Education Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Physical Education is desirable
- Strong knowledge of sport, fitness, and physical development
- Ability to motivate students across a range of interests and abilities
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
