Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are seeking a Design and Technology Teacher to join forward-thinking schools in Sheffield. We would like to hear from an enthusiastic educator who can deliver engaging practical lessons while helping students develop technical skills, creativity, and confidence in their ideas.

The D&T Teacher is going to support students as they transform concepts into practical outcomes through hands-on learning and creative thinking.

Responsibilities of DT Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons that encourage creativity and innovation
  • Support students in developing design, manufacturing, and evaluation skills
  • Guide learners through practical projects from concept development to final production
  • Promote safe and effective use of tools, materials, and equipment
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
  • Create a stimulating environment that encourages experimentation and independent thinking

Requirements for Design and Technology Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology is desirable
  • Strong understanding of design processes, materials, and practical techniques
  • Ability to deliver engaging and well-structured practical lessons
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
