Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Pay: £460–£600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

A supportive and enthusiastic individual who can work closely with staff to provide effective classroom assistance and encourage positive student development is what we are looking for.

GSL Education are partnering with amazing schools in Sheffield to recruit a Teaching Assistant. We are seeking a dedicated teacher who can support learning, encourage student participation, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

The Teaching Assistant role provides an excellent opportunity to support students' academic and personal development while gaining valuable experience within education.

Responsibilities of the TA:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities
  • Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
  • Encourage confidence, participation, and positive attitudes towards learning
  • Assist with preparing classroom resources and learning materials
  • Help maintain a safe, organised, and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide additional support to students where required throughout the school day

Requirements for the TA:

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Patient, adaptable, and supportive approach to learning support
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
