GSL Education are seeking a dedicated, resilient and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join a highly regarded secondary school in Eastleigh from September 2026 on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role
Working as part of the school's dedicated pastoral team, you will support students who require additional guidance with behaviour, emotional regulation, engagement and social development.
You will build positive relationships with young people, helping them overcome barriers to learning while promoting positive behaviour and encouraging successful outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students with behavioural, emotional and social needs.
- Providing mentoring and pastoral support on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
- Managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies.
- Supporting students during periods of dysregulation or crisis.
- Working closely with Year Leaders, pastoral staff, teaching staff and parents.
- Monitoring student wellbeing, attendance and engagement.
- Promoting resilience, self-esteem and positive decision-making.
- Acting as a positive role model for students across the school community.
