Complex Needs Learning Support Worker
Location: Redditch
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay Rate: £93 - £100 per day
GSL Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school in Redditch for dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Workers to support pupils with profound and complex learning and medical needs.
This is a full-time, term-time-only position supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), complex medical conditions, epilepsy, autism, physical disabilities, and sensory impairments.
The Role
As a Learning Support Worker, you will work closely with teaching staff and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality support both in and out of the classroom. You will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning opportunities while ensuring their medical, physical, and personal care needs are met.
Essential Experience
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting individuals with:
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Complex medical needs
- Epilepsy and seizure management
- PEG feeding
- Personal care requirements
- Physical disabilities and mobility needs
- Autism and communication difficulties
- Sensory impairments
Ideal Candidates Will Have
- Previous experience working within SEN education, healthcare, residential care, or support work settings
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach
- Experience supporting children or adults with complex needs
- The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
