Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are seeking a Computer Studies Teacher to work within forward-thinking school communities in Barnsley. We are looking for an innovative person who can bring computing concepts to life while encouraging students to develop confidence in technology, programming, and digital literacy.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to prepare students for further study and future careers by building their understanding of modern technology and computing principles.
Responsibilities of the CS Teacher:
- Deliver engaging Computer Studies lessons that develop technical knowledge and digital skills
- Teach topics such as programming, data representation, cyber safety, and computing systems
- Encourage logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving through practical activities
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback that supports continuous improvement
- Adapt learning activities to meet different abilities and learning styles
- Promote responsible, safe, and effective use of technology within the classroom
Requirements for the Computer Studies Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Computer Studies, Computing, or a related subject is desirable
- Strong understanding of computing concepts and digital technologies
- Ability to engage students through interactive and practical learning experiences
- Excellent communication, planning, and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
