Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Sheffield
Pay: £460–£600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are keen to appoint a Behaviour Support professional to work across schools in Sheffield. We want a confident and resilient teacher who can provide guidance, encouragement, and consistency to students who require additional behavioural support.

This role offers you to help students develop self-confidence, improve decision-making skills, and build positive relationships that contribute to long-term success.

Behaviour Support Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to students experiencing behavioural challenges
  • Encourage positive attitudes towards learning, attendance, and participation
  • Help students develop strategies to manage emotions and behaviour effectively
  • Support staff in implementing behaviour plans and intervention approaches
  • Build professional relationships that promote trust, respect, and engagement
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and productive learning environment

Behaviour Support Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people in mentoring, support, care, or educational settings
  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques and student wellbeing
  • Ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting young people
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
