Job Title: Behaviour Support (Primary)
Location: Sheffield S5
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately
Are you passionate about supporting children who need help managing their behaviour and emotions in a primary school setting? A supportive and welcoming school in Sheffield S5 is seeking a committed Behaviour Support (Primary) practitioner to join their team.

About the Role:
As a Behaviour Support (Primary), you will work closely with class teachers and support staff to help pupils regulate behaviour, engage in learning, and develop positive routines. You will provide consistent support to children who may display challenging behaviour or require additional emotional guidance throughout the school day.
Responsibilities:

Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social needs in and out of the classroom

Work closely with teachers to implement behaviour strategies and routines

Help create a calm, structured, and positive learning environment

Provide one-to-one and small group support where required

Encourage positive choices, engagement, and participation in learning

Assist in managing challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner

Monitor and report pupil progress and behaviour patterns to staff
Requirements:
-
Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting
-
Strong understanding of behaviour support or SEMH needs is desirable

Calm, patient, and consistent approach
-
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
-
Ability to adapt and respond to changing situations effectively

A genuine commitment to supporting children’s development and wellbeing
