Job Title: Behaviour Support (Secondary)
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately
Are you confident supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning? A supportive secondary school in Sheffield is looking to appoint a committed Behaviour Support member of staff to work closely with students and promote positive behaviour across the school.

Staff work collaboratively to provide tailored support for pupils, including those who may require additional behavioural or emotional guidance. About the Role:
As a Behaviour Support member of staff, you will work with students who may display challenging behaviour or require additional support to remain engaged in education. You will help build positive relationships, encourage emotional regulation and support students both inside and outside the classroom to help them achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:

Support students with behavioural, emotional and social needs

Promote positive behaviour and encourage engagement in learning

Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to implement behaviour strategies

Provide one-to-one and small group support where required

Help create a calm, safe and focused learning environment

Build strong and professional relationships with pupils to support their progress
Requirements:
-
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
-
Experience supporting behaviour management is beneficial
-
Strong communication and de-escalation skills
-
A patient, resilient and proactive approach

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

A genuine passion for supporting young people and education
