Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects during teacher absences. You will manage classroom behaviour, ensure students remain engaged with their work and provide support to pupils where required. This role is ideal for individuals considering a future career in education or those with previous experience working with young people.
Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-set lessons to classes in the absence of the teacher

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Support students in completing classwork and staying engaged

Provide a calm, structured and positive classroom environment

Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

Build positive relationships with students and staff across the school
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Confidence working with secondary-aged students
-
A flexible, professional and proactive attitude

Ability to adapt quickly to different subjects and classroom settings

A genuine passion for supporting education and student development
