Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Northumberland
Salary: £100 – £130 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Northumberland.
This rewarding role involves supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning and maintain positive behaviour in the classroom.
Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain on task
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
- Support students with their learning and classroom activities
- Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour
- Follow school policies and procedures at all times
- Build positive relationships with students and staff
- Support the wider school team where required
Cover Supervisor Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Confident, adaptable, and proactive approach
- Ability to engage and motivate students
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
- Degree-level education or relevant experience is beneficial
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
