Teacher of Science
Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire

Contract: 1 Year Fixed Term, September 2026 – July 2027
Working Hours: Part Time, 3 Mornings Per Week

GSL Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join a well-regarded school in Pocklington from September 2026 until July 2027.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Science Teacher seeking a part-time teaching role within a supportive and well-resourced school environment. The role involves teaching Key Stage 3 Science across three mornings per week.

As a Teacher of Science, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons to Key Stage 3 students.
  • Plan and deliver lessons in line with curriculum expectations and departmental schemes of work.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement and progress.
  • Differentiate learning to support a range of abilities and learning needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department and wider school community.

As the Ideal Teacher of Science, you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A flexible, organised, and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
