Salary: £95 – £115 per day (Depending on Experience)

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
GSL Education are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and caring Primary Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a vibrant primary school in Newcastle. If you are passionate about supporting children in their early learning journey and helping them reach their full potential—this could be the perfect role for you.
Your Role as a Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 in their daily learning activities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils progress
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and creative lessons
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and social development
- Support pupils with varying abilities, including those who may need additional help
What You’ll Need as a Primary TA:
- Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- A patient, flexible, and proactive approach
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
- Relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential)
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
