Salary: £90–£110 per day (dependent on experience)

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Middlesbrough is seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their early years team. This EYFS Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young children during the early stages of their education and development.
The successful EYFS Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers and nursery staff to support children through play-based learning, classroom activities and daily routines. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will help create a nurturing and engaging environment where children feel safe, supported and encouraged to learn.
Key Responsibilities of the EYFS Teaching Assistant:
- Supporting children within the EYFS setting.
- Assisting with play-based learning and educational activities.
- Supporting communication, social interaction and development.
- Helping with classroom preparation and daily routines.
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement.
- Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal EYFS Teaching Assistant Will:
- Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare, Early Years or Teaching Assistance.
- Have previous experience working within an EYFS or nursery setting.
- Be nurturing, patient and enthusiastic.
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
- Have a fully checkable work history.
