Behaviour Mentor

Grantham, Lincolnshire
Full-Time | Monday to Friday
Supply Role with Potential for Long-Term/Permanent Placement

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support schools in the Grantham area.

This role involves working with students of all ages, particularly those with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours. You will provide both 1:1 and small group support, helping students remain engaged, manage behaviour positively, and succeed within the school environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with behavioural and emotional needs
  • Managing challenging behaviour using positive strategies
  • Building strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Assisting teachers within the classroom
  • Promoting a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Encouraging student confidence, engagement and progress

Candidate Requirements:

We are looking for individuals who have previous experience working with children or vulnerable individuals in roles such as:

  • Support Worker
  • Care Worker
  • Youth Worker
  • Residential Care Support
  • Teaching Assistant
  • SEMH/SEN Support
  • Mental Health Support Roles

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be patient, adaptable and calm under pressure
  • Have strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Be confident working with children of all ages
  • Be available on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday)
  • Have a genuine passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning
