Learning Support Assistant – Lincoln
Full-Time | September 2026 Start | Supply to Permanent Opportunity
GSL Education are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work within supportive schools across Lincoln starting in September 2026.
This is a full-time position beginning on a supply basis, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role for successful candidates. We are seeking reliable, caring, and proactive individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people in education.
Candidates must have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, within a care setting, or as a Support Worker.
Role Responsibilities:
- Supporting students within the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND and SEMH
- Encouraging student engagement, confidence, and independence
- Supporting the class teacher with classroom activities and behaviour management
- Building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Providing emotional and pastoral support where required
- Assisting with personal care when necessary
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Adapting support strategies to meet individual student needs
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a TA, Support Worker, Care Worker, or in a similar support-based role
- Full-time availability from September 2026
- Flexibility and willingness to work on a supply basis initially
- A patient, resilient, and nurturing attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
