Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Dinnington
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs. You will help pupils access learning activities, provide tailored support, and assist in creating a positive and structured classroom experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and adapted learning activities

  • Work with individual pupils and small groups with SEN needs

  • Provide 1:1 support where required to help pupils engage with learning

  • Assist in managing behaviour in a calm and supportive manner

  • Help implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and support plans

  • Promote a safe, inclusive and encouraging learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally with SEN

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A patient, empathetic and resilient approach

  • Ability to adapt support to meet individual needs

  • A genuine commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs
