SEN Teaching Assistant – Grimsby
Temporary Role with Potential to Become Permanent
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within an SEN/SEMH setting in Grimsby.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference and confident working with children and young people who may display challenging behaviours. You will be supporting students on both a 1:1 basis and within small group settings, helping to create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
- Working both 1:1 and with small groups
- Managing and supporting challenging behaviours positively and professionally
- Assisting with learning, emotional regulation, and classroom engagement
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday
- Temporary placement with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working within an SEN and/or SEMH environment
- Confidence supporting pupils with challenging behaviours
- A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- EYFS experience preferred but not essential
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing
