SEN Teaching Assistant – Grimsby
Temporary Role with Potential to Become Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within an SEN/SEMH setting in Grimsby.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference and confident working with children and young people who may display challenging behaviours. You will be supporting students on both a 1:1 basis and within small group settings, helping to create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
  • Working both 1:1 and with small groups
  • Managing and supporting challenging behaviours positively and professionally
  • Assisting with learning, emotional regulation, and classroom engagement
  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday
  • Temporary placement with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working within an SEN and/or SEMH environment
  • Confidence supporting pupils with challenging behaviours
  • A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • EYFS experience preferred but not essential
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing
