Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £110 – £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Long Term, Full-time
Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:45 PM

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Tower Hamlets.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and is committed to supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment within the Early Years setting.

Responsibilities of an Early Years Teaching Assistant:

  • Support children with learning and play-based activities within the classroom
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging Early Years lessons and activities
  • Help children develop social, emotional, and communication skills
  • Support students on a one-to-one and small group basis when required
  • Encourage positive behaviour and classroom engagement
  • Assist with preparing classroom resources and learning materials
  • Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents where necessary

Requirements of an Early Years Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with children within an Early Years or primary school setting is desirable
  • CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is beneficial
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach
  • Genuine passion for supporting young children’s development and learning
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and staff
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
