Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Manor House
Salary: £108 – £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Long Term, Full-time
Working Hours: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Manor House.
This rewarding role involves working closely with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and high-level needs, providing tailored one-to-one support to help them access learning and develop socially and emotionally within a structured educational environment.
Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for students with complex ASD needs
- Support students’ academic, emotional, and social development
- Assist students in accessing classroom learning and activities
- Implement personalised support strategies and behaviour plans
- Build positive and trusting relationships with students
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
- Support communication, emotional regulation, and engagement
- Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Key Requirements of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Minimum 1 year experience supporting children with high-needs ASD
- Recent primary and/or secondary school-based experience
- Experience supporting students with SEN on a 1:1 basis
- Calm, patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
