Cover Teacher – Secondary Schools (Grimsby)
Location: Grimsby
Salary: £130 – £180 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP / September
Contract Type: Full-time |Long-term
GSL Education is seeking adaptable and confident Cover Teachers to work in secondary schools across Grimsby. This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified teachers who are looking for flexible work, varied classroom experience, or longer-term placements within supportive school environments.
As a Cover Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absence.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-set lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Maintain positive classroom behaviour and engagement
- Adapt quickly to different subjects and school settings
- Ensure students remain focused and complete set work
- Provide feedback to departments and teaching staff where required
- Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching in UK secondary schools
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A flexible, professional, and reliable approach
- Confidence working across a variety of subjects
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
