Job Title: Drama / Performing Arts Teacher

Location: Alford
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time | Temporary until Summer

GSL Education is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Drama / Performing Arts Teacher to join a secondary school in Alford on a temporary basis until the summer term. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who can inspire students through performance, creativity, and expressive arts.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, encouraging confidence, creativity, and participation in performing arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Drama and Performing Arts lessons
  • Encourage creativity, teamwork, and student confidence
  • Support students in developing performance and communication skills
  • Prepare students for performances and practical assessments
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Maintain strong classroom behaviour management

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Drama or Performing Arts in secondary schools
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A passion for creative arts and student development
  • The ability to motivate and engage young people
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
