Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Tamworth
Salary: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking dedicated and proactive Behaviour Mentors to work in schools across Tamworth.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them develop confidence, self-regulation, and positive attitudes towards education.

Responsibilities of a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group behavioural support for students
  • Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage engagement in learning
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and support plans
  • Build strong, positive relationships with students to encourage progress
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support student wellbeing
  • Monitor and record student behaviour and development
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

Behaviour Mentor Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs is desirable
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour positively and effectively
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people
  • Experience in education, youth work, coaching, or care settings is beneficial
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
