Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Working Pattern: Term-Time Only
A welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Manchester is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic qualified English Teacher to join their team from September. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, ideal for both experienced teachers and strong Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
The Role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love of literature and language while supporting students to achieve their full academic potential. There may also be opportunities to teach Key Stage 5, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A degree in English or a related subject
- Strong classroom management skills
- A passion for teaching and inspiring young people
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
