PMLD Support Assistant – Lincoln
Full-Time | GSL Education

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated PMLD Support Assistant to work in schools across Lincoln. This is a full-time opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.

The role involves working with students of all ages who have a range of SEN and SEMH needs, including pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). Some students may require personal care, so previous experience in a similar setting or within care/support work is essential.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting students with communication, learning and emotional development
  • Providing personal care where required
  • Supporting pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours
  • Working closely with teaching staff and external professionals
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience in a care, support work, education or similar setting
  • Confidence working with children and young people with SEN/SEMH needs
  • Comfortable providing personal care when required
  • A patient, nurturing and resilient attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Full-time availability
