Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Wolverhampton
Pay rate: £95–£110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Wolverhampton. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who require additional support to access learning.

As a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will work closely with pupils and staff to provide tailored support that promotes learning, confidence, and independence.

Key Duties of SEN TA:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs.
  • Assist in delivering personalised learning activities based on individual needs.
  • Support pupils with communication, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Work alongside teachers to implement EHCPs and support plans.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
  • Monitor and feedback on pupil progress and wellbeing.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
  • Understanding of needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties.
  • Patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
