Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately
Are you confident leading a classroom and looking to gain valuable school-based experience? A well-respected school in Sheffield is seeking a capable Cover Supervisor to step in and maintain continuity of learning during teacher absences.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged. You will play a key role in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a productive learning environment throughout the school day.
Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Ensure students remain focused and complete assigned work

Provide guidance and support where needed during lessons

Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment
Requirements:
-
Experience working with young people or in an educational setting is desirable

Strong classroom presence and confidence leading groups
-
Excellent communication and organisational skills
-
Ability to adapt quickly and respond to different classroom situations

A proactive and professional approach
