Job Title: Psychology Graduate TA
Location: Birmingham
Pay rate: £95–£120 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Support pupils in their learning and development while gaining valuable experience for a career in education or psychology!
GSL Education are seeking motivated Psychology Graduates to work as Teaching Assistants in schools across Birmingham, supporting pupils with a range of learning, emotional, and behavioural needs.
In this role, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide classroom and targeted support, helping pupils engage with learning and develop both academically and personally.
Psychology Graduate TA - About the role:
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will apply your understanding of behaviour, cognition, and development to support pupils effectively in a school setting. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in education, SEN, or educational psychology pathways.
Prime responsibilities of Psychology Graduate TA:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils
- Assist with classroom learning activities and interventions
- Support pupils with emotional, behavioural, or learning needs
- Help promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff
What we are looking for from a Psychology Graduate TA:
- A degree in Psychology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Interest in working with children and young people
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
To work with GSL Education, you should
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Provide an up-to-date CV with two recent references
- Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
