Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Middlesbrough
Pay rate: £85-£110 Per Day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor who can maintain a positive learning environment in the absence of the class teacher?
Schools in Middlesbrough and GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support across a range of classrooms.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will supervise lessons using pre-set work, ensure students remain on task, and manage classroom behaviour effectively. You will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning and supporting student engagement throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials.
- Maintain positive behaviour and classroom control.
- Support students in completing assigned work.
- Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people or in a school setting.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Confident, organised, and proactive approach.
- Ability to manage a classroom independently.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
