Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Redcar
Pay rate: £85-£110 Per Day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Maintain continuity of learning and support students to stay engaged during teacher absences in a structured classroom environment!
GSL Education are hiring confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Redcar. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience or progress into a teaching career.
Main Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students remain on task.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Provide guidance and support to students during lessons.
- Report any issues or concerns to senior staff.
Requirements of Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
- Confident classroom presence and strong behaviour management skills.
- Good communication and organisational abilities.
- Flexible, reliable, and professional approach.
- A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one).
