Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Newcastle
Pay rate: £95 - £115 Per Day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Support students in overcoming behavioural barriers and help them re-engage with learning in a structured and supportive environment!
GSL Education are searching for a proactive and resilient Behaviour Support professional to join schools in Newcastle. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with behavioural or SEMH needs and making a positive impact on their educational journey.
Main Duties of Behaviour Support:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
- Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation.
- Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to support individual plans.
- Monitor progress and report any concerns to senior staff.
- Maintain safeguarding standards and contribute to a safe environment.
Essential Requirements of Behaviour Support:
- Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or SEMH needs.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
- Ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
