Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Scunthorpe. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people and making a positive difference in the classroom.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to help students stay engaged, build confidence, and achieve their learning goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in the classroom on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
- Encourage positive behaviour and active participation
- Support pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs where required
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable)
- A patient, supportive, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Flexibility to work in different school settings if required
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
