Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £190 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term

A range of secondary schools in Sheffield are seeking confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to provide consistent classroom supervision and support across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring students stay on task with pre-set work. You will play a key role in maintaining classroom order, supporting learning continuity, and promoting a calm and productive environment across a variety of subjects.
Responsibilities:

Supervise whole classes during teacher absence

Deliver pre-set work and ensure instructions are followed

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Maintain a calm, structured and focused learning environment

Support student engagement and task completion

Report any concerns to relevant staff where necessary

Ensure continuity of learning throughout the school day
Requirements:

Experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable

Strong communication and classroom management skills

Confident, calm and professional approach

Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments

Reliable, flexible and proactive attitude

Commitment to supporting student learning and behaviour
