Trainee Teaching Assistant
Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only
Daily Rate: £92 – £115 per day

GSL Education are delighted to be working in partnership with a special needs school in Scarborough, a specialist setting supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs. We are seeking a Trainee Teaching Assistant to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a rewarding career in education.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and are keen to gain hands-on experience in a supportive school environment, even if you do not yet have direct classroom experience.

About the Role

As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
  • Help manage behaviour in a calm, consistent and supportive manner
  • Encourage student independence, confidence and social development
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff

You will receive ongoing support and guidance from experienced staff, making this a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within education.
