Job Title: Exam Invigilator
Location: Newcastle
Pay rate: £13 -£18 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are hiring reliable Exam Invigilators to work in schools across Newcastle, supporting the smooth running of examinations in a calm and professional environment.
In this role, you will oversee students during exams, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly while maintaining a quiet and controlled setting. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking for flexible, school-based work.
About the role:
As an Exam Invigilator, you will be responsible for supervising students during exams, distributing and collecting papers, and ensuring that all exam conditions are met in accordance with school and examination board guidelines.
Prime responsibilities of Exam Invigilator:
- Set up exam rooms according to requirements
- Distribute and collect exam papers and materials
- Supervise students and maintain exam conditions
- Ensure all rules and regulations are followed
- Deal with any issues or irregularities in a calm and professional manner
- Report any concerns to senior staff
What we are looking for:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Calm, professional, and reliable approach
- Ability to remain vigilant and focused for extended periods
- Previous experience is beneficial but not essential
To work with GSL Education, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Provide an up-to-date CV with two recent references
- Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
