Art Teacher – Secondary School

Location: Boston
Salary: Paid to scale (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP / September
Contract Type: Full-time | Long-term

GSL Education is seeking a creative and passionate Art Teacher to join a secondary school in Boston. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire students through art and encourage creativity across the curriculum.

The successful candidate will teach Art across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable) and play a key role in fostering students’ confidence, creativity, and artistic skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality Art lessons
  • Encourage creativity through a variety of artistic techniques and mediums
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Support students in developing their portfolios and coursework
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Contribute to the wider Art department and school community

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • A degree in Art, Fine Art, or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Art in UK secondary schools
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • A passion for inspiring creativity in young people
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
