Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster (DN8)
Salary: £105 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time

GSL Education are seeking committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a school setting in Doncaster (DN8).
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored support, helping students access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Your Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with Special Educational Needs
- Assist the class teacher in delivering adapted and engaging learning activities
- Support students with communication, social, and emotional development
- Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies
- Encourage positive behaviour and support students in managing their emotions
- Build strong relationships to promote engagement and participation in learning
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to staff
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Skills & Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable
- A patient, caring, and supportive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
- The ability to work proactively and adapt to individual student needs
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
