Location: Darlington
Salary: £95 – £115 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time

Your Role as an SEN Support:

  • Provide personalised 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
  • Assist class teachers in planning, adapting, and delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Support pupils in building confidence, communication skills, and emotional resilience.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help pupils navigate challenges effectively.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to meet individual pupil needs.

What You’ll Need as an SEN Support:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN in an educational, care, or residential setting.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and patience.
  • A positive, proactive, and caring approach to supporting learning.
  • Ability to follow guidance while also using initiative when needed.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
