Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: £460 - £650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Provide essential classroom support by supervising lessons and maintaining learning continuity!
GSL Education are currently seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to work in schools across the S5 and S9 areas of Sheffield.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will oversee classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain engaged, on task, and supported in their learning.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, following lesson plans.
- Maintain discipline and encourage positive behaviour.
- Support pupils with learning tasks and activities.
- Monitor and report on pupil engagement and progress.
- Assist teaching staff with classroom preparation and organisation.
Requirements of Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working in a school or classroom setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Patient, reliable, and proactive approach.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
